Transportation Program Manager
Global Recruitment's European shipping team is responsible for connecting our shipping network across Europe, moving billions of shipments every year. We work with multiple internal teams (e.g. transportation design, supply chain, external fulfillment, engineering, etc.) to ensure fast, reliable delivery to customers in the most cost-effective manner.
As a Transportation Program Manager, you will be part of the operations team responsible for setting up the systems that determine how shipments move across Global Recruitment's outbound network. You will act as a bridge between business, network design and technical teams to ensure transportation systems are built in compliance with strategic transportation network planning. You will have in-depth knowledge of Global Recruitment shipping systems and be responsible for understanding customers' business needs and delivering the best system solutions. You will manage a wide range of stakeholders and plan, communicate and execute the day-to-day implementation of network changes in such systems, ensuring they have the correct parameters set. As a subject matter expert, you will apply deep analytical skills to find and resolve root causes of day-to-day issues while driving long-term standardization and automation initiatives to improve system and team efficiencies.
This position is based in Luxembourg.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage frameworks to support external fulfillment on Global Recruitment's shipping network.
- Work with business and technical teams to define how network change requests will be implemented to ensure transportation systems are built in line with the strategic transportation network plan.
- Support the day-to-day operations of the network. Daily configuration operations, optimization and scaling.
- Plan, communicate and execute the implementation of network changes in Global Recruitment systems and ensure they are set up with the correct parameters.
- Manage relationships with internal Global Recruitment stakeholders and serve as the single point of contact for inquiries and issues within specific regions.
- Dive deep into data and issues to drive short-term solutions and long-term improvements.
- Deliver results through full cross-functional integration with multiple internal teams.
- Drive long-term standardization and automation initiatives to improve system and team efficiency.
A day in the life:
This position combines tactical and strategic responsibilities. This job is fast-paced and dynamic and requires you to be able to flawlessly execute daily/weekly activities and manage unclear plans. You will work with multiple organizational stakeholders on a daily basis to discuss network changes. You will use your systems and logistics knowledge to help them understand the possibilities and develop an implementation plan. You can then translate such change requests into network configurations and use multiple user interfaces and tools to deploy and validate them against the agreed-upon SLA. You will serve as the primary contact for a specific market/region, delving into topics and leading system standardization initiatives. You will work with your team and internal partners to invent and develop system and process improvements that deliver new business value, improve customer experience and increase team productivity, speed and quality.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Transport or other technical field within two years.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work as a team
- Have a proven analytical mind with a natural inclination to use data when making decisions and prioritizing
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects while delivering timely and accurate results
- Experience prioritizing
- Knowledge of Excel
- Knowledge of SQL
Preferred Qualifications:
- Senior or Master's degree in Business Administration, Management, Transportation or other technical field.
