Testing Engineer

Test Engineers are responsible for evaluating damping systems and components of suspension systems using existing methods or developing/defining new methods. He will also be responsible for driving the continuous improvement of European testing processes. Work closely with requesters to drive execution of test requests. Requests can be multiple and executed in parallel. Follow internal processes and procedures. Carry out standard verification independently, paying attention to the timeline and DVP agreed with the applicant. Drive new developments within cross-functional teams (instrumentation, internal customers, product development, etc.), including new test methods and test quality/efficiency improvements. Coordinates the work of team members (technicians, mechanics, and/or other cross-functional teams) through the use of appropriate management/planning systems as needed. Report results regularly and work with clients to take necessary actions when obstacles arise in assignments. Process and interpret test results, write and/or evaluate test and development reports. Question activities related to daily testing processes and implement recommendations derived therefrom.

Master of (Electrical) Mechanical Engineering. Fluent in English and Dutch. Applicants with in-depth mechanical design and/or hydraulic knowledge, experience with electromechanical systems are preferred. A thorough understanding of the function of suspension components/systems is an advantage. Knowledge of operating testing machines is an advantage. Good knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics and electronics. Travel ability.
