CLLN Services's Global Realty (GR) organization is seeking a technical expert to lead investigations into the root cause of disasters and related projects that are based on building and engineering.

As a part of the Disaster Recovery and Investigations (DRI) team, you will utilize your technical abilities and solutions to discover the causes of disaster, identify and correct actions that are intended for the business and design teams.

These actions are part of a closed-loop learning process.

The position will have a base in Europe (EU), with trips to the disaster areas of the UK and Europe occurring on a regular basis, as well as trips to the U.S.

This position may be based in London, Paris, the UK, or Luxembourg.

You will promote a diverse array of businesses in Operations, including fulfillment centers, distribution centers, delivery stations and similar industrial warehouse locations.

You will collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders, including Legal, Global Security, Risk Management, Design & Construction, Engineering, and Building Design, all of which will help you identify and procure opportunities for improvement.

Because of the nature of the support for unplanned events, the applicant must have close proximity to transportation (both air and rail) with the capacity to travel frequently to Luxembourg and London in order to meet with stakeholders.

The individual in this position will take part in on-call turns (including overnight, weekend, and holiday) for emergency shelters.

The position requires travel that is approximately ⚠% of the ⚠ countries, the majority of which are focused on the U.K., Poland, France, Spain, and Germany on short notice.

Participate in rotational security calls with operational leaders to discuss when to investigate and how to preserve or secure the area.

Lead investigations that seek to understand the root cause of the disaster, including trips to places that have an impact on CLLN Services facilities, will involve deploying and managing experts in the field of forensics, these investigations will have the purpose of identifying, preserving, and maintaining evidence in a way that will allow the cause of the disaster to be determined.

Partner closely with legal, risk and asset management to authenticate the contractual obligations, and coordinate investigations with insurance agents and counterparties who have a financial or potential liability in the investigation.

Partner with the DRI team to provide daily updates regarding the investigation's progress via spoken and written passages, these reports will be used to train the senior leadership during an on-site investigation. via flash notes and a playbook/action tracker.

Discover solutions to problems with immediate effect by creating a consensus with other teams, asking questions that are relevant and recommending appropriate solutions.

Summarize the most important learnings into a written conclusion that includes preventative actions and corrective steps towards system design, storage, and safety.

Describe the owners, ensure their buy-in is secure, and follow the agreed upon Caps until they are complete.

Help with risk management, property management, legal and financial matters, or subrogation.

Describe the common patterns of risk in the network and how to reduce it, using ⚠D,⚠-Whys, or similar methods.

Provide written submissions to monthly or quarterly business reviews and participate in lead investigations with the core stakeholders to produce more extensive results.

Support DRI as a subject matter expert on physical disaster damage assessment methods for buildings, structures, material handling, and/or the inventory of damaged structures, materials, and devices.

Basic Qualifications, Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical expertise in Engineering, Technical Architecture, or similar fields.

Numerous years of disaster-related practical experience that is associated with the commercial/industrial sector and the reconstruction thereof.

Professional Engineers (PE or PEng) have a license, a master's degree or additional qualifications, these should be in the field of Fire Protection, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, or Construction Management.

Experience in the field of construction management, including review of plans, engineering supervision or inspection.

The knowledge and experience necessary for working with fire and regarding building codes and standards, including the NFPA, SH Connect, VdS, ICPE, BS, IndBauRL, and H&W Connect, is included in this category.

Additionally, the knowledge and experience necessary for interpreting and utilizing/auditing design, installation, and maintenance is included.

Experience working with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA ⚠), the National Fire Protection Association ⚠, the SH Connect Data Sheet ⚠-⚠, and ⚠-⚠, as well as IEC standards.

Understanding the typical lease language, property insurance contracts, construction/ development agreements, or other similar.

Preferred Qualifications: ability to ask intriguing questions about technical issues and the infrastructure.

Excellent communication skills both spoken and written, as well as the capacity to communicate in an appropriate manner in special projects, while promoting collaboration to facilitate the blocking of investigation and the reconstruction of things.

Highly intelligent, perceptive, and creative, they have the ability to develop new ideas and practical solutions.

Abilities for quantitative and qualitative analysis, as well as commercial judgment, are strong.
