Responsible for supporting the functionality and efficiency of the mainframe MCP operating system. Provides second and/or third level hardware and software/operating system support services to resolve product usage and multi-product/platform issues and issues related to MCP-based enterprise systems, networks and application software.
Responsible for user management, monitoring servers and monitoring anti-virus updates. Perform daily checks on servers and analyze logs. Perform server performance tuning. Investigate the incident. Perform detailed troubleshooting of incidents and escalations and provide technical solutions to various difficult issues. Use documented procedures to resolve clearly defined incidents. Review change requests, implement complex changes, and prepare and execute changes according to the implementation plan. Perform root cause analysis of mainframe MCP related events. Coordinates critical system issues and new product and/or system implementations. Forward alert and situation status information to customer system management. Report detailed facts and analytical information on MCP incidents to UIS Support Services and track resolution.
Prepare implementation of technical documentation and ensure technical documentation is current and complete. Identify and perform a variety of independent analytical and problem-solving tasks. Develop and implement specific procedures to interconnect systems and application/network elements as needed.
Responsible for the analysis, design, implementation and support of systems and processes that support the configuration management process. Detailed design of executive components. Responsible for configuring, programming and testing technical architecture components. Fix bugs and performance related issues. Can perform development, testing, and implementation of processes for configuration management, deployment, and automation.
⚠-⚠ years of IT experience. Extensive experience in system administration, network and database administration. Applicants with experience in team coordination/people management will be preferred. Development background and mindset is an advantage (if you are familiar with Java/SQL scripting).
