Sustainability Program Manager

The Global Sustainability team promotes a sense of belonging for everyone by creating strategies and solutions. We facilitate the implementation of Google's global sustainability strategy that aims to promote action, have alignment and prioritization, identify potential leaders, and mitigate risks. We promote sustainability through strategies and programs on carbon, the circular economy, water, product integration, reporting, and employee engagement. We also serve as a leader in sustainability advocacy both internally and externally. As a Program Manager at Google, you'll take on complex, multi-sector projects from the start to the finish - you'll collaborate with stakeholders to plan the requirements, manage the schedule, identify risks, and communicate with other departments clearly. Your initiatives will frequently cross the offices, time zones, and hemisferpheres. It's your job to arrange the players and keep them aware of the progress and deadlines. Design and execute communications plans that are intended to reach specific audiences, these audiences are categorized by their intended goals. Describe the associated phases and metrics of a program's life cycle that focus on continual improvement, including resource management in conjunction with program participants, including both near term and long term goals. Figure out what to do and how to do it, then gather and analyze data to effectively execute and govern programs. Maintain project timers and statuses, identify and complete program responsibilities, including managing dependencies. Complete the necessary changes to the management of the program's requirements identified by the program's stakeholders. Create relationships that are trusted with the program's stakeholders, including maintaining expectations of the program's stakeholders and making sure they have the knowledge necessary to make effective decisions. Mid-level experience in driving progress, addressing issues, and mentoring less experienced team members; additional knowledge and expertise in the relevant field. Low qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sustainability, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Candidates will typically have ⚠ years of experience in managing programs or projects. Preferred qualifications: Candidates will typically have ⚠ years of experience leading projects that are functional and have a mixed team of stakeholders in an ambiguous environment, they will also have the capacity to manage a complex set of participants in a high-performing and fast-moving global environment. The capacity to function in collaborative settings, promoting a positive and collective work environment. Fantastic written and spoken communication abilities.
