Job Description: Supply Development Program Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious Supply Development Program Manager with a background in leading multiple dimensions, global projects involving suppliers. In this position, you will participate in the development of suppliers and readiness for the EU (SDR) team within the Global Procurement Organization (GPO) that is charged with creating a program for the development and operationalization of suppliers in the EU.

Working alongside your fellow colleagues at your local area's SDM, you will determine the future of Amazon's evolving program for suppliers and preparing them for the future. You will have the responsibility of designing and delivering solutions that can be repeated and used by our stakeholders to expand their current supply base, increase supplier diversity, and establish the maturity of suppliers (MRL).

This essential and perceptible role will collaborate with GPO teams and other business participants including Category, Acquisition, Operations, Engineering, Construction, Legal, Finance, and Diversity organizations in order to identify new suppliers and develop existing suppliers.

  • Implement mechanisms for developing suppliers including on-site and desktop audits of quality and production rate readiness.
  • Conduct rigorous assessments of the new and existing suppliers' capabilities, abilities, and competencies that are consonant with GPO's procurement strategies.
  • Help with monitoring, tracking, and ensuring the completion of actions related to supplier readiness that are associated with transitions, increases in rate, and early engagement with suppliers.

Create a general understanding of the processes of operational suppliers and the quality controls associated with them in order to ensure consistency and facilitate growth.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Cooperate with GPO, Operations, Construction, Engineering and other stakeholders in Amazon's business to deploy effective tools for improving suppliers.
  • Help with the standardization of current policies, procedures, internal controls, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Travel between ⚠% and ⚠% of the workday.
