Sr. Risk Manager, Transportation Risk & Compliance

We are looking for an organized, proactive individual to join Global Recruitment's Transportation Risk and Compliance (Global Recruitment) team. This position will be based at Global Recruitment's corporate headquarters and requires the ability to travel regularly.
Global Recruitment (ATS) has built a world-class middle-mile (MM) operation that relies on a team of exceptional carriers who work tirelessly to meet customer expectations. Global Recruitment is seeking an individual with a high degree of judgment to join us as a Senior Risk Manager, responsible for streamlining the global operational audit and monitoring process, helping to ensure operator compliance with laws and regulations through innovative solutions, and improving and driving a compliance culture internally and externally.
We are looking for individuals with extensive risk and project management and stakeholder engagement experience who can leverage their expertise to lead the new global Voice of Risk and Compliance Experience (VOICE) project. The VOICE program proactively engages with compliance partners (carrier partners, regulators, industry groups, and Global Recruitment internal stakeholders) around the world and works backwards to translate their insights into effective risk mitigation solutions to help improve compliance.
Compliance improves operator and enterprise control intensity, Global Recruitment operational reporting and planning, Global Recruitment risk assessment library accuracy, and partner compliance experience.
The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and strong data-driven skills, but also have excellent soft skills for engaging stakeholders and partners, including exerting influence without authorization. Finally, the successful candidate will demonstrate good teamwork and autonomy, especially since the team meets largely virtually due to geographic spread.

Work with Global Recruitment's internal carriers, partner with local training POC to guide and facilitate carrier and stakeholder surveys and training, and coordinate with MM field operations leader WW on process improvement initiatives and drive based on feedback received implementation.
Establish and maintain a global MM risk assessment library, working in partnership with the global Global Recruitment organization and relevant stakeholders (e.g. Legal Department). Develop collaborative strategies with transportation regulators (e.g. DVSA, DOT) to capture transportation-related regulatory changes and coordinate appropriate process changes in accordance with the Global Recruitment global regulatory change management strategy.
Achieve individual and team goals with the highest standards and care. Lead and/or participate in special projects and/or assignments as needed.

Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of five (⚠) years of risk and project management experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a problem-solving mentality.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate across teams and organizations and to exert influence without authority, with the highest level of teamwork and integrity.
- Proficient in office tools (e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
Priority Qualifications
- Have experience in compliance management.
- Working knowledge of local transportation and contracting laws and regulations.
- Training and/or mentoring experience.
- Experience using data software (e.g. Tableau, QuickBase, etc.).
- Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Polish.
