Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Flow Optimization


Job Description:

Sr. Manager, Supply Chain Flow Improvement, and EU Supply Chain Science are all part of the fastest growing online business in the world. The increasing volume of business and the company's mission to be the Earth's most customer-oriented company has led to a larger, more complex customer satisfaction business every year. The team responsible for scientific optimization in the EU is seeking a Technical leader to address complex, ambiguous issues regarding forecasting and optimization for our network of EU fulfillment.

The team has the expertise in optimizing our supply chain with respect to our vendors and customers. We also have the responsibility of analyzing the effectiveness of our Supply Chain system as a whole and utilizing Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research and Machine Learning to enhance the decision-making process within our organization, including predictions, planning and execution of our network.

We collaborate closely with SCOT teams, who have the systems and supplies we need to plan our networks, the scientific community worldwide, and with our internal EU participants in supply chain, transportation, storage, and finance. The perfect candidate has a comprehensive technical background as well as a history of leading large projects from start to finish, they are also comfortable developing long term strategies while still delivering results that are incremental in an ever-changing operational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of and grow a highly successful team of scientists and technicians dedicated to data and research.
  • Collaborate with operations, finances, stores, science and engineering leadership to identify ways to improve the efficiency of the Fulfillment Center's network flows through optimization and practical execution.
  • Create and maintain optimized products
  • Influence the strategy and results of multiple scientific partners including transportation design, forecasting, or modeling.
  • Recognize new areas of investment and research and connect roadmaps to achieve these goals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field of technology.
  • Significant experience in technical program management.
  • Professional software engineering practices knowledge.
  • Analytical thinking, creation of metrics, and project management skills.
  • Attention to detail, exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Experience with complex systems involving optimization, AI, and ML.
