Sr. Manager, Governance & External Affairs (EU

The Safety Team of WW Operations is seeking a senior manager of government and external affairs (EU) to oversee safety regulations and outreach to stakeholders in the EU and the UK region. This leader will formulate a comprehensive regulatory compliant and policy strategy regarding this region that will enable and promote safe and efficient workplaces in multiple endeavors (e.g., Fulfillment Centers (FCs), Amazon Stores, and the Transportation Network). The primary job duties include working on workplace health and safety matters and understanding the legal regulations in the region. This leader must maintain flexibility and agility in order to ensure that programs implemented will be appropriate for and have a wide scope in a fast-moving environment while still maintaining safety at the highest level. Develop and implement a comprehensive safety policy and regulatory compliance strategy for the Region. This strategy will reduce the risk of a large number of potential problems and will quickly learns across businesses and geographies. Develop internal processes for safety-related regulatory programs and ensure compliance with laws and policies. In addition, remove issues that are noted during audits and evaluations. Monitor and advocate on safety-related issues that are developing in the Region and respond to regulatory investigations. Subject matter expertise in safety-related matters and the presentation of alternative solutions.
