Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer - Speed differentiation, Delivery Speed and Long-term Planning

The Global Transportation Analytics team is a cross-disciplinary center of excellence comprised of engineers, analysts, scientists, technical project managers and developers. We focus on Global Recruitment's most complex problems, processes, and decisions. We work with fulfillment centers, shipping companies, software developers, finance and retail teams around the world to improve our logistics infrastructure and algorithms. Fulfillment Acceleration is one of these global transportation analytics teams. We are passionate about rethinking our advanced end-to-end supply chain to make our deliveries even faster. Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for leading data analysis and insights generation to support the speed differentiation strategy in Europe and North America. Navigate highly complex and strategic areas across the supply chain, including trade-offs between cost to serve, speed of customer delivery, selection, growth and long-term profitability. This role requires a talented, energetic and courageous individual who is passionate about delivering tangible improvements to our clients and wants to leverage data to achieve this. The role consists of ⚠% analytical activities and ⚠% stakeholder/project management.

Data Analytics/Science: Own development and leadership in the design and execution of advanced metrics, reporting and bridging capabilities to support velocity differentiation strategies in Europe and North America. Transform data into actionable business insights to improve complex technology systems in supply chains. and collaborate with partner teams to prioritize system errors. Conduct detailed data quality checks and proactively identify and resolve data discrepancies and inaccuracies. Perform deep research and data analysis using SQL (>⚠TB) to generate actionable insights for known and unknown problems. Provide recommendations on new metrics or business decisions.

Innovation and Stakeholder/Project Management: Leverage your insights and share with partner teams to influence/create the project’s ⚠-year roadmap and accelerate delivery. Quickly launch new pilots for the most complex and ambitious opportunities and build business cases for scale that include benefits, trade-offs, bottlenecks, risks and required resources. For algorithmic capabilities, work with a team of software developers and research scientists to design the next wave of software innovation. Conduct regular business reviews with partner teams to monitor the progress of projects on the roadmap. Help eliminate bottlenecks. Consolidate progress into clear, concise data-driven status updates. You report to Global Recruitment management (VP level). Basic Qualifications

• ⚠+ years of professional experience in Business Intelligence.
• Advanced SQL knowledge.
• Programming experience extracting, transforming, and cleaning large (multi-terabyte) data sets.
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs.
• Experience with script automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL knowledge.
• Demonstrated experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior management.
• Have theoretical and practical experience in experimental design and statistical analysis of results.
• Experience working with AWS technologies.
• Have theoretical and practical experience in information retrieval, data science, machine learning, and data mining.
• Advanced experience in data quality checking. Attention to detail. Proactively identify and resolve data discrepancies and inaccuracies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in statistics, data science, or equivalent quantitative field.
• ⚠+ years of experience transforming data into actionable business insights.
• Willingness to understand business issues beyond the original scope of the role and curiosity to learn more about complex technology systems within the supply chain.
