Job Description:

Our client is the third largest healthcare software company in the world. We are looking for a Java back-end developer for this client in Ghent.

Your tasks:

• As a software developer specialized in Java EE, you will be part of the Connectivity team.
• You will develop integrated services between our own ZIS/CIS system and other platforms in the hospital environment.
• The business applications for healthcare that you create are used by more than 126 million patients worldwide.
• You process patient-related data and ensure that you build high-quality and sustainable software.
• You work closely with the verification engineers in your team to ensure good integration testing.
• You collaborate with various R&D teams in a distributed environment.
• You can apply agile software development methods: delivering working software after a two-week development cycle.
• You possess a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science.
• You can handle large and complex codebases.
• You have evidence of being able to easily grasp complex subject areas.
• You enjoy expressing yourself in the team and speak fluent English.

Technical skills:

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Java EE software development using Jenkins, Maven, Hibernate, JUnit, and Rest.
• Proficient in JEE7, WildFly, Java 8/11, Oracle SQL, SVN, Mockito.
• Ideally, you have knowledge of interoperability standards (IHE, HL7, FHIR).
