Senior Controller - South West of Brussels

Global Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Finance Director for a permanent position in Brussels South West. Our client is a rapidly growing company in the energy sector.

As Senior Finance Director, you will be responsible for:

• Focusing on creating value at an operational, financial and tax level through reporting/controlling and presenting relevant operational/financial metrics
• Translating a deep understanding of the business and financial models into the financial impact of decisions and projects of financial returns
• Conducting ad hoc and/or periodic profitability analysis of more specific and complex business scenarios for existing and future companies to continuously adjust business strategies
• Assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes, monitoring deviations from business plans, and planning by testing business assumptions to challenge the business
• Monitoring key short- and long-term financial aspects of the company (cash planning, financing needs) to support upcoming investment plans for sustainable energy projects
• Providing relevant stakeholders (management team, general meeting of shareholders, banks, other interested parties) with information and actively contributing to the continuous improvement of reporting, control and planning processes
• Coordinating ERP implementations and other financial transformation projects

Senior Financial Director Job Requirements:

• Master's degree in finance or related field
• At least ⚠ years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the energy industry
• Ability to understand complex business processes
• In-depth understanding of relevant financial, tax and regulatory aspects and the ability to map out the relevant impacts on the company's ability to create value
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Able to work both independently and within a team environment
• Excellent communication skills (with other team members and management)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and corresponding control software
• Fluency in Dutch and English (both spoken and written)
