Global Recruitment Senior Category Manager

Global Recruitment is seeking a Senior Category Manager with procurement experience to strategically source products and services within our Global Procurement Operations (GPO). Individuals in this role will coordinate with multiple teams across Global Recruitment and interact with our key vendors to meet organizational needs. This position will work collaboratively and collaboratively with multiple teams to develop and implement category sourcing strategies to achieve category-wide savings and increase productivity.

This role supports the Global Recruitment and Safety team with strategic sourcing of safety and medical supplies. Develop category sourcing strategies, lead cross-functional strategic sourcing teams, negotiate and execute contracts with suppliers to optimize Global Recruitment's competitive position. Maintain appropriate relationships with category suppliers with the primary objective of achieving optimal solutions and operating costs that meet company objectives, supported by a culture of continuous improvement and appropriate performance benchmarking. Manage category suppliers to proactively identify, monitor and optimize opportunities.

Serves as a category market intelligence provider. Anticipate strategic opportunities and keep key stakeholders informed. Promote category suppliers in supplier relationship management activities to reduce risk, improve performance, and add value to Global Recruitment Category Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive category strategy that is aligned with organizational goals. Identify cost optimization opportunities, analyze market trends and develop procurement strategies for key product OEM purchases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing: Lead category-specific strategic sourcing processes, including conducting market research, identifying potential suppliers and negotiating contracts. Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, especially OEMs for critical projects. Monitor supplier performance, conduct regular supplier evaluations and implement supplier development programs to ensure quality, cost and delivery goals are met.
  • Supply Chain Continuity: Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with critical items and work closely with suppliers to develop contingency plans and ensure uninterrupted supply. Monitor market conditions, assess supplier capabilities, and develop strategies to address potential supply chain disruptions.
  • Cost Optimization: Drive cost reduction initiatives through effective negotiation, value development and total cost of ownership analysis. Identifies opportunities for strategic partnerships, supplier integration and process improvements to achieve cost savings without compromising quality and service levels.
  • Negotiate and Implement Vendor Agreements/Contracts: Work with cross-functional stakeholders and vendors to agree on contract terms and conditions.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience leading project strategy, end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior management.
  • Experience defining and implementing program requirements.
  • Have program or project management experience.

Priority Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or MBA in Business Administration, Data Science, Public Administration, Finance, Engineering, Human Resources, or related field.
  • Experience taking responsibility/leading large, complex negotiations.
