Senior) Body Shop VDA/Estimator - Drogenbos
Global Recruitment: The Global Recruitment is seeking a Body Shop (Senior) Automotive Damage Assessor to work for one of the most advanced automotive brands in the world. This position will support the body repair program in all aspects. The individual should have at least ⚠ years of experience in the collision repair industry to demonstrate familiarity with the skills, knowledge and techniques to assess vehicle damage and determine the correct and safe method of repair to return the vehicle to its pre-accident condition.
Our vehicle damage assessors play an important role in Tesla body shops. In this position, you will:
- Complete timely and accurate cost estimates
- Be responsible for invoice management to ensure the department achieves its goals
- Use your in-depth knowledge of collision and body repair to have a direct impact on body shop profitability
Your mission:
- Identify and document important vehicle specifications
- Develop a maintenance plan based on Tesla-specific maintenance procedures
- Document any related or unrelated damage to the vehicle
- Prepare detailed repair estimates and plans for damaged Tesla models based on Tesla's specific repair procedures and insurance partners
- Global Recruitment customer vehicles, maintain and execute a timely schedule before, during and after repairs are completed
- Execute proper escalation process when necessary
- Ensure proper reporting channels are followed
- Successfully utilize internal systems to report/record customer inquiries to generate data for field and plant operations
- Determine and record how many vehicles were occupied at the time of the incident
- Follow health and safety guidelines
- Work within specified hours
- Perform quality checks to ensure repairs meet Tesla's high standards
- Work in a manner consistent with EHS guidelines and in compliance with manufacturer and industry guidelines
- Contact your insurance representative to ensure the repair is authorized for claim and billing
- Book customers and keep them updated on the progress of their vehicle
- Complete repairs, arrange invoices and ensure vehicles are delivered on time
- Conduct remote assessments based on digital images and ensure all damage is documented with photographic evidence
- Prepare all estimates using country-specific cost estimating systems (Audatex, Cabas, CCC One or Global Recruitment)
- Work closely with co-workers to ensure accuracy and consistency in daily body shop operations
Walter's contribution:
- Experience working as a vehicle damage assessor in a body shop environment
- Vocational training as a body shop technician is desirable
- Become a proficient user of at least one costing system (CCC One, Audatex, Cabas or Global RecruitmentA)
- Understand how estimating affects profitability
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Have a clear understanding of health and safety and good housekeeping in the automotive environment
- Ability to provide leadership and guidance to teammates - Demonstrated excellence in the damage assessment process
- Have a complete and comprehensive understanding of the entire body shop refinishing process
- Ability to consistently provide the highest level of quality repairs
- Become familiar with all tools and equipment used during repairs
- Valid driver's license
- You are an excellent team player

- Conduct all cost estimates using a country-specific costing system (Audatex, Cabas, CCC One or Global Recruitment)
- Work closely with co-workers to ensure accuracy and consistency in daily body shop operations
Your contribution:

- Vocational training as a body shop technician is desirable
- You are a qualified user of at least one computing system (CCC One, Audatex, Cabas or Global Recruitment)
