To support the development of the European Technology Center (ETC) in Brussels, we are looking for several research laboratory technicians in different groups. What are you going to do?

European Technical Center (ETC) technical staff support various areas of D&B Experts's business. Her day-to-day work includes operating a pilot plant for materials testing and process development activities, as well as contributing materials synthesis and analytical technologies to a variety of projects. The scope of these projects is determined by the technical organization based on R&D or manufacturing priorities. Technical scientists and engineers work closely with research technicians to provide job opportunities and background information.

As a Research Technician, you will:

  • Operate laboratory equipment safely. This includes starting up, shutting down, servicing, collecting samples, logging data, setting conditions, etc.
  • Interact and collaborate with various groups and stakeholders.
  • Concurrently work independently to plan and organize incoming order requests.
  • Communicate order status to applicants on time.
  • Generate and report high-quality data.
  • Understand the importance of details, has good observation skills, and performs activities accurately to meet quality requirements.
  • As you gain experience, you will be responsible for using appropriate equipment and developing ideas to improve safety and efficiency.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Production Engineering, Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Have a basic level of knowledge of English (spoken and written). Knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
  • Take security seriously.
  • Strong observation and reporting/communication skills.
  • Be a team player and have the ability to act independently.
  • Flexibility while being willing to follow procedures and understand their importance in a large organization.
  • Active.
  • Love learning.
