Rail Coordinator (M/W

As a subsidiary of the European Railway Logistics Group (Global Recruitment) and one of the main players in the European intermodal transport sector, Global Recruitment specializes in the intermodal transport (mainly rail/road) of sea containers and provides them with pure road transport solutions. We are now actively searching for a Rail Coordinator M/F to strengthen our Belgian team and expand our activities within our transport agency in Antwerp.

Job Description:

• Responsible for preparing trains for loading prior to arrival or departure from the train station.
• He or she studies the train plates before the train arrives in order to prepare in advance for the train's positioning on the track.
• Optimized train panels (repositioning of containers).
• Before the train departs, upon arrival and before departure, check whether the carriages are loaded according to the train plate and report any abnormalities (container weight issues, etc.).
• Notify customers about train arrival and any problems (delays, cancellations, non-delivered containers, etc.) and resolve any disputes.
• Arrange intra-port shuttle schedules with rail operators.
• Responsible for invoicing customers (containers stored, etc.).

Required skills:

• Executives who have worked for a road or rail transport company for at least two years and/or have recently graduated from Transport and Logistics with professional experience (training) in road or rail transport.
• Applicants with experience in land transportation of sea containers will be given priority.
• A highly motivated individual with a keen interest and curiosity in the railroad industry.
• Fluent knowledge of Flemish is a must, knowledge of French or English is required. Those with knowledge are preferred.
