Role: BeLux Public Affairs Manager

The BeLux Public Affairs Manager is responsible for managing Global Recruitment’s relationships with government, business associations, and other influential stakeholders at all political levels for BeLux. They focus on supporting Global Recruitment’s long-term priorities, commercial agenda, and operating license.

Advocate and represent the company's interests to political interest groups, government authorities, business associations, NGOs, etc. Build and protect license, ESG, and corporate reputation and brand operating in Belgium and Luxembourg by working closely with external communications to develop and implement public affairs strategies. The three pillars of corporate affairs (external communications, ESG and corporate reputation, and public affairs) should reinforce each other. Works with all departments to proactively identify opportunities for the company in regulatory areas to improve its competitive position. Anticipate regulations that negatively impact a company's performance and develop strategies and activities to defend against such competitive threats. Support local community initiatives to improve and support company goals. Prepare and update public affairs tools: position papers, company statements, fact sheets, Q&A, presentations, stakeholder mapping, etc. Organize visits to the company for external stakeholders.

We are looking for:

  • Master's education or equivalent experience
  • ⚠ to ⚠ years of experience in corporate affairs in an institutional or in-house role, preferably in FMCG/or ⚠ to ⚠ years of experience in the Belgian political environment
  • Solid business acumen gained through training or experience
  • Strong communication skills and coalition building - trustworthy and professional in handling confidential and sensitive information

  • Excellent organizational skills, proactive and practical

  • Fluent knowledge of Dutch, French, and English required
