Program Manager, Intermodal SEA


Job Description

However, as a Program Manager, you are tasked with exploring new approaches, designing new methods, and delivering new services. Working with multiple different stakeholders in different departments of business will continually lead to new solutions. You'll research and analyze your own ideas, always taking into account the long-term goals of the company. This is the time to have a significant impact on some of the most exciting new concepts that are forming the future of VD&F Solutions. You will participate in the Drayage Strategy, Efficiency and Operational excellence streams of work for the VD&F Solutions network via Sea. Create innovative solutions that utilize data and research to address larger problems in your organization. Lead the development of new programs that will improve the efficiency of end-to-end operations across the entire program portfolio. This will involve utilizing large amounts of data and metrics to identify and eliminate defects in the process. Additionally, this will help you to enhance the performance of every program on the land by improving specific efficiency programs for the SEA. Develop and execute a road map for integrating the SEA program into larger organizations and processes. Discuss a new approach to operation and the accuracy of data with the Legal, Business and Programs team. You will have business metrics to measure success via coordination with the Technology, Operations and Business departments. Work independently in a high-pressure environment with all levels of leadership and exercise caution where there are not clear guidelines. As a Program Manager, you'll oversee and manage the implementation of creative, data-driven changes in VD&F Solutions, leading projects that improve the company and promote data-driven programs and projects. You'll utilize strategic thinking to create and implement a successful project plan. Program managers have a significant role, and you'll encounter difficult challenges with innovation, creativity, and leadership. With a responsibility that extends past the improvement of processes, you could also have a role in improving other areas of the business, including diversity, equity, and inclusion. Some include: Manage and review the efficiency of the operational model and process of dealing with the SEA industry with our internal teams and partners. Work with our internal team to create models of operation that are specific to the VD&F Solutions SEA industry and support new projects that can be launched. These projects will help to improve the operational performance of every program in partnership with your stakeholders.

About the team

VD&F Solutions couldn't achieve the desired speed without the VD&F Solutions Transportation Service (ATS) team. As part of ATS, you'll be incorporated into a diverse team that has a significant role in our success. Using air, sea, rail, and road transportation, as well as sorting centers that have the most recent technology, you'll facilitate the transportation of VD&F Solutions's goods at the greatest efficiency. Our team acquires data and employs it to make decisions. They are essential to making VD&F Solutions more creative and effective. We prioritize safety over other concerns because people are the most important aspect. And we utilize the knowledge of our employees to transport packages to their intended destination - swiftly, easily and in a sustainable manner. Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics
  • Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables and graphs, multiple criteria evaluations, logical/IF statements, data cleaning, array formulas, etc.)
  • Experience in developing and implementing initiatives intended to improve processes using data and metrics, as well as communicating the results to higher-level management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in business, engineering, operations, supply chain, transportation logistics
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL
  • Experience in leading process improvements
