Required Qualifications/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and ⚠+ years of project management experience, OR Master's degree in related field and ⚠+ years of project management experience, or PhD in related field and ⚠+ years of project management experience with project management or equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Have more than ⚠ years of financial management experience.
  • Agile certification or Scrum Master certification.
  • Certifications in relevant industries.
  • Experience creating and managing intellectual property (IP).
  • Have experience in publishing publications.

Responsibilities:

  • IP guides others in the use of Intellectual Property (IP) by providing suggestions for improvements, including submitting new IP, contributing to complex IP, and promoting IP standardization (e.g., Statement of Work [SOW], Work Breakdown Structure [WBS]) by enforcing processes and artifacts among team members.
  • Build projects with intellectual property reuse in mind from the start.
  • Relationship development. Engage senior internal and external stakeholders (such as board-level executives) as colleagues with deep expertise.
  • Prevent and manage complex escalations through strategic and targeted communications with board-level executives and deliver difficult messages when necessary.
  • Use facilitation skills to assist other project managers with strategic communications.
  • Work with internal teams to manage overall customer relationships and plan remediation strategies as needed.
  • Improve customer satisfaction by representing WLLS Solutions to senior customer stakeholders (e.g., CEO level), analyzing customer feedback, and leveraging trusted relationships with senior management to represent the customer voice and ensure problematic delivery is resolved.
  • Manage expectations with a high degree of political sensitivity by anticipating customer reactions, interpreting small signals, and taking appropriate proactive action.
  • Adhere to project compliance standards (e.g., confidentiality, data protection) and contractual requirements, and consider client compliance standards, including managing compliance-related complexities (e.g., heightened sensitivity to confidentiality).
  • Promote compliance by driving knowledge sharing across geographic boundaries to enhance the compliance capabilities of others.
  • Initiate drives very high complexity projects (e.g., high profile, visible global impact, very high impact, market shaping) will create the team.
  • Balance needs between projects under difficult circumstances (e.g. scarce technical resources) and collaborate with other groups (e.g. ISVs, India Global Delivery) for comprehensive planning and organization of onshore/offshore projects.

Contracting:

  • Oversee the contracting process for partner resources (e.g. contractors, vendors) by providing input into partner meetings, partner candidate interviews, and identifying and accommodating partner resources for the team.
  • Oversees the negotiation and structuring of subcontracting agreements for a fixed fee.

Pre-Sales:

  • Lead the pre-sales process for high-impact projects by articulating the business value proposition associated with the project/change, assessing the complexity and risks involved to ensure the viability of the commercial offer, and reviewing the quality of colleagues' work.
  • Participate in the review of proposed scope and assist in the development of Statement of Work (SOW), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), cost estimates, preliminary risk assessments, etc.

Planning:

  • Oversee and provide input into the development of detailed project management plans to ensure predictable delivery of the largest, most complex and critical projects, leveraging deep expertise and experience to drive scope, resources and WLLS Solutions Project progress is aligned and coordinated with client plans.
  • Drive the overall project delivery strategy and train WLLS Solutions and account teams to proactively manage changes as needed.
  • Ensure the use of baselines, resource load balancing and job deployment, dependency management, contingency planning and use of software (e.g. timelines).
  • Establish clear expectations and responsibilities with all project team members (e.g. consultants) and stakeholders as well as other consulting project managers by leading internal and external processes (e.g. reaffirm scope, accountable-accountable-consulted-informed matrix, handover from sales to delivery, formal kick-off meeting).
  • Can serve as a senior project manager.
  • Actively engage a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including those affected by the project scope/outcomes but not directly involved (e.g., corporate operations, India Global Delivery, customer stakeholders), and integrate subject matter experts into overall planning activities, including team validation.

Monitoring and Control:

  • Coordinate and monitor a variety of project metrics for the largest, most complex projects and provide extremely high visibility from others (e.g., VP level, global impact).
  • Proactively ensure compliance with key performance indicators (KPIs), provide strategic direction that drives success, and adapt to critical changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proactively monitor and manage risks and issues in very high complexity projects, leveraging prior experience and expertise to assess risk trends and use qualitative analysis (e.g. probability, impact, urgency) to optimize mitigation across projects for high impact risk scenarios.
  • Lead critical recovery, participate in resolving upgrade issues for other critical projects, and ensure tools are updated.
  • Manage resolution of high-priority issues and utilize contingency plans to proactively respond when risks become an issue.
  • Collect data by applying quality management techniques (e.g. benchmarking, interviews), ensure on-time completion and quality of deliverables (e.g. documentation), and track agreed-upon metrics on the largest, most complex and critical projects.
  • Monitor results and implement corrective actions on time, proactively ensuring the time and resources required to reduce quality risks.
  • Manage Conditions of Satisfaction (COS) to establish required deliverables.
  • Contribute across projects, providing peer mentoring as needed.
  • Discuss and validate customer change controls at launch, anticipate and proactively resolve changes by verifying that changes can occur smoothly early in the process, and test processes before initiating formal changes.
  • Manage the finances of high-impact projects with large scope and budget by allocating funds and resources across work streams, conducting in-depth analysis, and leveraging experience and expertise in Conditions of Satisfaction (COS) management.
  • Actively work to reduce costs and improve delivery margins without compromising quality or customer experience, and understand the impact of decisions on the overall business (e.g. profit and loss [P&L], accrual accounting).
  • Manage stakeholder communications with board-level executives on project health, issues and financial performance of large, complex transactions throughout the project lifecycle, tailoring communications to target audiences, anticipating stakeholder needs and adjusting plans accordingly.
  • Establish a formal cadence to ensure client performance is tracked and maintained and status is captured and reported to all key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present executive summaries to executive audiences.

Closure:

  • Ensure timely project closure by ensuring completion of project acceptance tasks (e.g. system closure updates, customer data deletion, delivery acceptance forms).
  • Drive incremental process improvements through reflection and broad sharing of lessons learned (e.g., leading change projects, sharing stories with leaders, developing case studies).
  • Creates and recommends intellectual property (IP) improvements, provides feedback to managers on team member performance, and conducts exit interviews with team members.
  • Contribute across domain, regional and/or global levels to share knowledge, support others (e.g. Ready) and impact the industry.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of preparedness plans (e.g. workshops, meetings).
