To further expand its international business, Parkwind is looking to expand its legal team to include a regulatory counsel. Responsibilities of the position include:

  • Commercial management of existing park wind power purchase agreements.
  • Negotiate new power purchase agreements, including corporate power purchase agreements.
  • Monitor developments in the Belgian and European electricity markets and develop park wind opportunities.
  • Determine acceptance strategies for new (offshore wind) projects in relevant countries.
  • Collaborate as an energy expert on campus wind energy replacement projects. B. Hydrogen, batteries or other technologies.
  • Manage appropriate internal and external (REMIT) PPA reporting.
  • Analyze individual projects and project portfolios.
  • Negotiate and optimize power contracts.

The ideal candidate for this role should have:

  • ⚠ to ⚠ years relevant experience in electricity markets with an energy supplier, energy trading company or similar company.
  • An in-depth understanding of the Belgian energy market, an in-depth understanding of other European markets, and a strong willingness to further expand the market.
  • Strong interest in renewable energy and new technologies.
  • Sharp analytical mind.
  • Business acumen and good negotiation skills.
  • Hands-on, responsible, organized, and detail oriented without losing sight of the big picture.
  • Team player with high integrity.
  • Master's degree or equivalent.
  • Fluency in English.
