The work we do every day matters. You will report to the France and Benelux Sales Manager and work remotely within a manageable commercial team. After learning all about our internal processes, markets and complex solutions including smart metering, water operations management and smart city solutions, your main task will be to maintain and expand business activities in Belgium. You will help sell complete solutions (primarily software and services) to our existing and potential customers. The position requires extensive travel within Belgium to establish and maintain close relationships with customers (utilities, public administrations) and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop and maintain comprehensive business and product knowledge, research smart city benefits and needs, and determine how our solutions provide value to customers.
- Understand customer needs and design tailor-made solutions using our technology and services.
- Participate in the preparation of RFIs and RFQs, technical proposals, RFP responses, solution demonstrations, etc.
- Conduct concise and insightful market and competitive research to identify new opportunities.
- Generate leads and develop existing relationships, maintain accurate, detailed opportunity lists and build an active customer base.
- Identify potential business and technology channel partners to grow our business.
- Ensure process standardization across all sales stages using 🔗 tools.
- Develop and maintain a portfolio of opportunities that provide long-term forecasts.
- Execute quarterly and year-end closing processes.
Qualifications:
- Completed business or technical degree with at least ⚠ years of successful sales/business development experience selling complex and value-added solutions (hardware, software, services) in an international context.
- Need to understand the Belgian public tender process.
- Preferably they come from the energy industry and propose solutions that help companies, utilities, municipalities and governments improve day-to-day and long-term performance.
- Passionate about sales with the ability to generate new leads, build relationships and close deals with officers and C-level stakeholders.
- Excellent ability to persuade others and maintain effective business networks.
- Excellent team player and communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Fluency in English and French, preferably Dutch, required.
- Driving license required.
