We are looking for an Operational Performance Manager to improve performance and processes at transfer and sorting sites across Belgium. A seasoned and experienced leader with the ability to challenge the status quo and drive change when necessary. Operational performance managers need to assess current transfer and sorting processes and infrastructure, develop suitable (semi-)automated dashboards for transfer and sorting centers, and set achievable goals. The ultimate goal is to improve effectiveness and efficiency and implement improvement paths through data analysis.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Review, improve and create performance measurement dashboards, methodologies and tools; analyze field activities such as transfer and sorting processes.
• Define relevant key performance indicators that support improvement strategies; make recommendations and launch new initiatives; develop plans, drive change and implement performance projects; align our working methods with local legislation and promote compliance.
• Identify risks, threats and opportunities at our waste treatment and classification facilities.
• Work across departments in Logistics, Materials and Resource Management, Sales and Finance, and Technical Services.
• Collaborate with Process and Quality and Maintenance and Facilities.
• Build a culture of learning and improvement within our operations team.

Driven by the development of environmental legislation, digital tools and a mission to improve the status quo, you will have the opportunity to think outside the box in an ever-changing environment; become a local sparring partner for new investment or divestment; get a helicopter view of the most important waste sites in our location Logistics and ask questions about the overall (logistics) solutions and operational organization in Belgium; report to the Performance Manager and be part of a dynamic team.

You can be relied upon with a proven record of continuous improvement and/or operational leadership experience; you have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex data and analyze it quickly and accurately; you have the ability to translate complex data in an easy-to-understand manner of analysis and presenting it to a broad audience; you are able to respond to changing priorities and exercise good judgment in challenging situations. Proven leadership skills, strong work ethic, and an ambitious, stress-resistant and pragmatic personality; you can work with middle and senior management; you are able to manage projects and deliver with multiple stakeholders in different locations/backgrounds Tangible results; they speak three languages ​​fluently: Dutch, French and English.
