Operating System Deployment and Update Expert

We are looking for an Operating System Deployment and Upgrade Specialist to work (remotely) for one of our prestigious clients in Brussels, Belgium.

Description of Responsibilities

• Establish/maintain procedures related to Drupal site deployment.
• Assist developers with CI/CD tools and deployment operations.
• Provide security patches to Drupal sites.
• Software configuration management of the infrastructure used to host Drupal sites.
• Provide support and query tracking to various website owners and website administrators.
• Implement and support CI/CD for Drupal websites.
• Manage development infrastructure (based on Cloud⚠ in AWS Application servers deployed to developers).
• Analyze the performance of Drupal websites.
• Assists in diagnosing and investigating website incidents and implementing workarounds to restore functionality.
• Investigate recurring incidents to determine root cause and implement solutions to prevent such incidents from occurring.
• Participate in the design and implementation of information systems architecture and improvements to hosted solution architecture.
• Release management and control.
• Provide expert advice and support on Drupal/LAMP web infrastructure technologies, technical monitoring and evaluation studies, architectural considerations, applicable standards, solution patterns and best practices.
• Provides quality planning, quality assessments, quality control testing, evaluations, and service level agreements related to information systems infrastructure services or projects.
• Assist in implementing software engineering methodologies.
• Provide security studies, security assessments and other specific security issues related to Drupal/LAMP web infrastructure.
• Prepare vision documentation focusing on infrastructure components.
• Risk analysis.
• Review information systems infrastructure architecture.
• Provide technical assessments and audit reports with Europe Information system infrastructure related.
• Participate in technical working groups, progress meetings, and meetings with users.
• Assist with relevant portions of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation, and reporting.
• Interact with business analysts, customers, users, project managers and developers.
• Provide in-house training to new developers on how to use CI/CD tools.

Education level

Master's degree.

Knowledge and Skills

• Excellent knowledge of Drupal and PHP.
• Have a good knowledge of the composer.
• Familiarity with LAMP and Drupal hosting solutions.
• Familiarity with Gitlab and CI/CD functionality.
• Quality standards.
• Ability to handle rapidly changing technologies used in Drupal hosting.
• Good communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to write clear and structured technical documentation.
• Ability to attend technical meetings and good communication skills.

Candidates will also need to possess the following non-technical skills

• Ability to integrate into an international/multicultural environment, quick initiative and experience working in a team.

• Completed multiple large-scale projects; excellent team player.
• Knowledge of English (B⚠) is an advantage; as the applications managed and maintained by this department contain personal and confidential data, a high degree of caution and integrity are required.

Specific Competencies

The following specific expertise is required to perform the task:

• At least ⚠ years of specific expertise in Drupal, at least ⚠ years of specific expertise
• Expertise in using CI/CD tools
• At least ⚠ years of experience supporting developers
• Using CI/CD tools for Drupal
