As the Network Operations Manager at TechOPs Network Tower, you will be responsible for the scope of the EUR Zone site, overseeing the day-to-day operations of our network infrastructure and ensuring reliability, security and optimal performance. You are motivated by planning and executing audits, improving programs and implementing changes to standards, and strategic initiatives to improve our cyber capabilities. You will also manage and improve operational costs, budgets and related supplier orders. From Leuven, you will report directly to the Regional Network Manager and work within the virtual organization across Europe and around the world. Working in a rapidly changing environment, processes are often not clearly defined or implemented. Work for multicultural organizations. You will communicate closely with all internal stakeholders including the network team, help desk, workplace, IT operations managers, field support, technical operations and key business contacts as well as external vendors supporting network related needs/operations.

Scope of the role:

  • End-to-end lifecycle of network operations
  • Own a complete ITIL process framework to deliver services at scale, directly or indirectly through internal and/or third party providers.
  • Ensure reliable, stable and efficient operation of network services to avoid/minimize business interruptions.
  • Lead/coordinate all activities required to support network operations in a standardized manner utilizing best practices in network maintenance and support.
  • Manage vendors and coordinate with internal and external vendors. External teams deliver according to SLA and agreed cost.
  • We are committed to security and compliance to ensure that all of our environments are at appropriate compliance levels and that there are no open compliance issues.
  • Lead the improvement, standardization, simplification and automation of network operations from the technical, process and financial aspects.
  • Be the escalation point and owner for driving resolution of network related issues, problems and standards requests.
  • Supplier management and governance with internal and external support teams and business alignment through stakeholder management of internal customers.
  • Maintain operational integrity: Responsible for operational and technical performance across the Eurozone, managing upgrades and approving go-lives and P⚠BAU
  • Monthly site visits to build business relationships and verify on-site network performance
  • Occasional travel to key locations for third-party providers and internal support teams
  • Monthly travel to Global Recruitment main business locations (Belgium, UK, Germany)

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar professional experience preferred
  • Fluent English speaking, reading and writing. Applicants who know other Western European languages ​​(German, French, Dutch) are preferred
  • Applicants with experience in information technology operations are preferred
  • Understand the IT outsourcing model
  • Proficient in using Microsoft software (Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Visio, Teams)
  • General computer and technical knowledge
  • Experience working in a multinational environment
  • Experience working with geographically distributed teams
  • Knowledge of networking technologies and best practices a plus
  • Possession of industry certifications such as CCNA or equivalent is a plus
  • Familiarity with cloud-based technical networking solutions.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of service management processes
  • Knowledge of ITIL standards and methodologies
  • Knowledge/experience with infrastructure network technologies (WAN/LAN/WLAN/Voice) and monitoring/troubleshooting tools
  • PowerBI, Python and Github - Knowledge Are the advantages
