For our clients specialized in the steel industry, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer - Water Circuit. During the hot strip rolling process, the company uses water to cool individual circuits and descale (+/- ⚠,⚠ m⚠/h). A water treatment system will be established to filter the water (suspended solids, anti-corrosion, antibacterial, etc.), reuse and protect pipes, while complying with current environmental standards. The Mechanical Engineer - Water Circuit is responsible for optimizing the water circuit operations of the plant. He/she ensures the reliability, quality, and safety of these systems (pumps, filters, etc.) while striving for continuous improvement and reduction of water consumption.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the reliability of equipment within their area of responsibility.
• Analyze the causes and consequences of equipment failures, determine necessary measures and ensure follow-up actions.
• Determine weekly and monthly maintenance priorities for the area (direct intervention, weekly maintenance, major maintenance).
• Define the content of the maintenance plan, assess its relevance and update requirements.
• Develop a spare parts procurement strategy.
• Analyze recurrence of non-standard events and ensure planned controls.
• Plan, prepare and evaluate external maintenance services.
• Ensure internal preparation activities are conducted correctly.
• Collect, formalize, and share knowledge about how devices and systems work helps ensure that they are properly understood.
• Manage required tests.
• Verify the quality of implemented technical interventions.
• Participate in on-call duties outside of service hours.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in civil or industrial engineering.
• Minimum ⚠ years of experience in a similar position.
• Able to understand mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and other drawings.
• Good analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Failure Mode Analysis Technique (FMECA), Cause Tree, Ishikawa etc.
• Stress recovery ability.
• Conversational skills (the ability to listen) and communication.
• Team player.
• Organized and efficient work with a sense of priority.
• Independently takes responsibility and makes decisions in all situations (from simple to complex).
• Knowledge of French and Technical English (B⚠).
