Mechanical Engineer - Expert

For our clients specialized in the energy sector, we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer - Specialist. Manage root cause failure analysis of thermal power plant equipment (rotating machinery, valves, piping, HRSG, etc.). Lead assigned multidisciplinary project teams and assist in building a unified approach. Detected events are analyzed to determine the root cause.

Add value You are involved in interpreting results and proposing solutions. You are the project manager for a complex machinery project. They actively look for ways to optimize power plant maintenance strategies. You are the interface for discussions with customers, insurance companies and OEMs. Accelerate knowledge transfer and act as a mentor to young engineers in the mechanical field

You have a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with ⚠ years of experience in power plant equipment. You have the ability to simplify problem solving based on conservative assumptions. You know English, French or Dutch and are ready to improve. You have a strong customer orientation and good communication skills. You are willing to travel within Belgium and Europe, as well as undertake short-term assignments outside Europe (usually a few days to a week). You enjoy working in a team, have the ability to work independently, are proactive and have the ability to create synergies with other internal departments and external partners. You have strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically/outside the box.
