Our mission is to arrange the world's information and make it accessible and beneficial to the majority of people. In this role, you will participate in the Google's Information Quality team, which is part of the Government's Information Quality program and the Public Policy team. This is a diverse group of individuals that work across different regions, areas of business and functions in order to help define the future direction of Google regarding information regulation, content regulation, and the open web. You will oversee projects and positions pertaining to several information quality and content management issues, with an emphasis on false information, incorrect information, unreliable content, and content/media policy. You will have subject matter expertise and guidance for internal stakeholders involved with these issues, as well as a role of representation for the company with regards to third parties, civil society organizations, and industry groups. Create position papers and programs that will anticipate and participate in the public discussion regarding falsity and information misuse, information quality, authoritative sources, information provenance, and relevant actions. Work with safety and trust, product, engineering, and other teams across Google to help with responsible policy and product development. Advance Google's mission and maintain its principles. Advocate for Google both internally and externally and bring in external perspectives that will inform our perception and course of action. Communicate directly with the regulators, players in the industry, and leading thought leaders to have a policy and political discussion about the responsible, social, and beneficial use of the internet in innovation. Low requirements: Bachelor's degree in Law, Political Science, Government, Public Affairs, or equivalent experience. Experience developing technology or content-based policies in regards to industry, government, think tanks, public interest groups, or relevant associations with regards to information quality or content policy.
