To strengthen our Operations department, we are looking for a Baggage Maintenance Assistant. You will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring maintenance projects and works at Global Recruitment under the supervision of the Baggage Maintenance Manager.

Your responsibilities include facilitating the completion of these assignments within the specified timeframe and budget, in line with the intended quality and industry standards. You will ensure the safety of the maintenance and renovation project through regular audits and reporting to the Baggage Maintenance Manager.

• Supervise daily maintenance and updates, supporting the Maintenance Manager.
• Contribute to the implementation, optimization, and execution of the maintenance strategy.
• Coordinate safety, security, and compliance of the involved assets with the Maintenance Manager.
• Assist in maintaining the asset register and technical documents.
• Provide necessary support in the daily management of maintenance contracts and monitoring SLAs with external and internal suppliers.
• Ensure all tasks comply with safety standards and are performed securely following procedures.
• Assist in drafting specifications compliant with public procurement regulations following Belgium and European standards.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably electromechanics or equivalent through experience.
• Willingness to undertake VCA and BA⚠ exams shortly.
• Familiarity with driving basics.
• Driver's license for the airport? We will facilitate that.
• Analytical, creative, with a 'can do' attitude.
• Team-oriented, with several years of experience in subordinate communication.
• Proficient in Dutch or French.
• Knowledge of the respective second national language and English.
