Logistics Technician


Overview

As a KS Services Data Center Inventory and Asset Technician (DIAT), you will perform cycle inspections, conduct inbound/outbound shipments, coordinate third-party security escorts, and record inbound and outbound shipments. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma and warehouse/supply chain experience in an information technology (IT) environment, inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or related field. or equivalent experience.

Background Check Requirements:

This role requires the ability to meet KS Services, customer and/or government security clearance requirements. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specific security clearances:

  • KS Services Cloud Background Check: This position must pass a KS Services Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

While not required, we are also looking for the following preferred qualifications:

  • Warehouse/supply chain experience with experience in an information technology (IT) environment, IT and/or logistics, operating heavy-duty transportation equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet trucks, chassis lifts) Experience) for large companies or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform assigned tasks and escalate issues during high volume work activity or escalation situations.
  • Coordinate with vendors to initiate warranty claims and resolve faulty vendor hardware devices. This includes processing, packaging, shipping and receiving returns of Return Material Authorization (RMA) equipment in accordance with all service level agreements (SLAs) associated with the RMA warranty process.
  • Utilizes process knowledge and best judgment to complete tasks with minimal direct supervision.
  • Always maintain a high priority on understanding the impact of their work in processing tickets and assigned Inventory and Asset Management (IAM) tasks.
  • Maintain and maintain current and accurate logical information in various asset management systems (e.g., configuration management database, asset management repository).
  • Ensure detailed tracking and provision of physical inventory.
  • Helps reconcile and report inventory discrepancies.
  • Perform Disk Destruction (DBD) as required in compliance with all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and KS Services policies.
  • Notify management of order shortages. Escalate all issues to management.
  • Comply with security and data management policies.
