A day in the life of you in the USA

At our distribution center in Unterslag (Genk) you are responsible for the development and optimization of local logistics processes. You identify possible improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs. You work with managers and experts to implement these improvements and projects. You are part of a project team and are responsible for specific projects and work groups. You are analytical and able to frame complex problems. You can use data analytics to analyze logistics processes. You are able to write clear reports and make clear recommendations. You support the organization in further automating administrative and logistics processes. You get along well with your colleagues and are able to inspire others. It's in your nature to cope with change.

On a daily basis you will:

• Identify and implement project and process improvements, developing recommendations related to productivity, efficiency and cost control.
• Optimize warehouse layout and implement and track necessary changes.
• Keep process documentation up to date (process descriptions, work methods, job descriptions, measurement specifications, training documents...).

Who you are

You have a bachelor's or master's degree in the field of logistics (e.g. logistics management, engineering transport logistics...) or an engineering degree and are especially passionate about logistics. You are fluent in written and oral communication in English. Knowledge of Dutch is an added value. You are analytical and have a problem-solving approach. Have experience in data analysis. Have experience in logistics supply chain. You have good computer skills (MS Access, MS Excel, MS Visio...). You have a service-oriented attitude and network easily. They think "outside the box." You can translate complex process descriptions simply and understandably. They inspire, communicate clearly and build trust throughout the organization. You manage to involve stakeholders.
