Job Description: Logistic Officer - Shipping & Export

In order to enhance our logistics department with additional expertise, we are currently seeking a "Logistic Officer - Shipping & Export" for our office in Antwerp. The "Logistic Officer - Shipping & Export" is primarily responsible for organizing the documentation, transportation, and other aspects in order to ship parts to our subsidiaries and regular customers in Africa. Shipments are sent via regular, seasonal air or sea.

The "Logistic Officer - Shipping & Export" is tasked with initiating the process, from collecting materials, to invoices, to following the rules and regulations associated with exporting to Africa, organizing transportation and maintaining ties until the goods are delivered to the African region. He also studies the costs of delivery and suggests more effective transportation methods. They address customer concerns and investigate issues regarding delivery. These may include products that are damaged, late or missing deliveries and insurance-related disputes.

• Arrangement of bookings and documentation with all transport suppliers or partners

You possess a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or an equivalent of experience; Previous experience with international transport; Ability to utilize ERP systems and Microsoft programs, primarily Outlook and Excel; knowledge of Incoterms, credit letters, transport documentation; Data entry abilities; Comfort with short communication lines with various stakeholders and customers; Organized with good time management, multitasking nature; Good problem-solving; Able to deal with complexity; Deadline-oriented and able to work under pressure; Team player; Cost-conscious.
