Our multicultural purchasing team, consisting of ⚠ employees at the Braine-l'Alleud site, is currently looking for a Junior Mechanical Components Buyer to join the team.

The Raw Materials Procurement team is responsible for supplier benchmarking, evaluation, RFP and supplier selection activities, as well as price and terms and conditions negotiation for volume production parts.

What will your job be?

Supported by Senior Buyers and Procurement Managers, you will:

• Conduct market research on potential suppliers for specific product categories to identify the most suitable suppliers in terms of expertise, quality, delivery, cost, and environment.
• Use the European market as a benchmark to identify potential suppliers.
• Use a request for information (RFI) process to understand a supplier's capabilities.
• Manage the request for quotation (RFQ) process for selected vendors, analyze proposals, report analytics, and provide recommendations for vendor selection.
• Prepare and negotiate costs and contract terms.
• Negotiate and explore cost optimization opportunities in series production.
• Participate in evaluating supplier performance in volume production.
• Present analysis in a structured manner, explain conclusions, and make recommendations to management for approval.

Requirements:

• Must have a bachelor's degree in a technical subject (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, etc.)
• Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
• Willingness to develop negotiation skills with clients and/or external vendors
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• A proactive, confident individual pleased to have experience in machinery purchasing, design, or manufacturing
• Proficient in French or other languages
