HR Administrator - International Employment

As an 'HR Administrator - International Employment' you play an important role in the day-to-day implementation and support of numerous international HR matters. You ensure that personal personnel files are handled correctly while focusing on scheduling and customer service. You will work with approximately ⚠ direct colleagues, working half of the time in an open plan office and the other half from home.

Here are some of your responsibilities:

  • You will review international documents for completeness and clarity and understand what is happening with international employment
  • You advise employees and superiors on new hires, contract extensions and changes
  • You support administrative processing and ensure files are in place Correct placement in the workflow
  • You initiate applications for individual licenses on various government platforms
  • You provide our customers with prompt, proactive and comprehensive service
  • You are the first point of contact for employees and their supervisors for all employment-related issues
  • You are the first point of contact for the authorities (Immigration, Brussels Economy and Immigration, Municipalities)
  • You will be responsible for case management and within the international payroll team General tasks

For this position, the Global Recruitment for Humanities, Sciences and Engineering (Ixelles) is your home base.

What can we expect from you?

  • You have at least a bachelor's degree (social work with a concentration in human resources, legal practice...). Candidates without a degree but with relevant experience are definitely encouraged to apply
  • You have excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written) and can also express yourself in Dutch
  • Customer focus is in your DNA. You have a positive attitude and are motivated to help your customers. You enjoy working with others
  • You are not only a person who likes to find solutions, but also someone who likes to learn
  • You would ideally know the relevant laws and regulations for international employment (individual licensing)
  • You have mastered commonly used PC applications, able to quickly become familiar with new computer programs
  • You are no stranger to working independently and setting priorities. You abide by agreements and appointments, and know how to keep track of your various tasks
  • In addition, you like to work according to systems and follow procedures carefully
