Job description

Global Recruitment in Pelt creates zinc powder for use in battery technology. Global Recruitment has companies producing goods all over the world, including in Zolder and Angleur, which are part of the American Aterian Investment Partners. Approximately ⚠ people participate in a continuous system in Pelt. To maximize efficiency at the location, Global Recruitment has chosen to create a new position: Head of Planning and Material Flow.

Your tasks include:

• Planning production to achieve optimal balance between production costs, raw material costs, inventory costs, targeted delivery, and customer satisfaction.
• Leading the customer service team responsible for communication with suppliers and customers on the ordering, processing, and shipping process.
• Managing the logistics team responsible for material flow and storage in the factory with a focus on safety and quality.
• Maximizing efficient procurement of local products, services, and materials through vendor relationships and project negotiations.
• Initiating, leading, and managing sales and operational planning processes.
• Planning reprocessing and potential revenue from byproducts.
• Verifying accuracy of item master list, bill of materials (BOM), sequences, and other specifications.

Requirements:

• Minimum five years of experience in supply chain, planning, procurement, and inventory management.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field preferred.
• Willingness to travel to different suppliers and partners when necessary.
