As the head of sustainability, your primary task will be to develop, implement, and coordinate sustainable strategies and initiatives within the organization. You will take charge of and coordinate the company's efforts to minimize its environmental impact while also ensuring that all aspects of the business are long-lasting. The Sustainability Head will be the company'sokesperson to the public and communities in order to promote the sustainability and circularity of our initiatives. The position will have direct reporting to the CEO of HNDR Link.

Main duties:

• H&S: Participate in all of the necessary activities to achieve the "zero accident" outcome in conjunction with the Prevention advisors and the management of the company.
• Sustainability Strategy Development: Create a long-term sustainability strategy that is in line with the organization's mission and goals.
• Environmental Impact Management: Assess and manage the company's environmental impact, including the amount of energy consumed, waste disposal, construction practices, and water usage.
• Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with sustainability rules and reporting methods. Submit sustainability reports disclosing primary metrics and progress towards sustainability goals.
• Stakeholder Involvement: Engage internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of sustainability.
• Innovation and Research: Promote environmentally friendly solutions and technologies within the organization.
• Employee Education: Educate and train employees on sustainability practices.
• Performance Monitoring: Create metrics and tracking systems to assess progress towards sustainability goals.

Requirements: Engineering combined with a business degree, several years of experience in the heavy industrial sector with a focus on sustainability projects, product development, and technical marketing. Empathetic, resilient, and assertive with the capacity to work in a team and promote practical solutions to issues. Possess interpersonal abilities, work with all levels of the organization, and a strong reputation.

Particular working conditions: Travel in Belgium and occasionally outside of the country
