Head of Academy
Our client Global Recruitment is Europe's leader in international rail transport, providing a single rail network connecting direct and indirect high-speed routes to France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and the United Kingdom. We are currently recruiting a Global Recruitments Academy Manager to strengthen our training department.
We are looking for people who are customer-focused, strategic and operationally capable. They organize training programs for Global Recruitment's operational services (train management, driving, planning and scheduling, supervision) as well as for station managers and staff. You will work closely with Central Security and Line Managers to contribute to maintaining Global Recruitment operations and the security capabilities required by station managers and staff.
You will coordinate training activities within the department to ensure a consistent approach to training management. It is also your responsibility to communicate the Global Recruitment strategy to the training team and develop training guidelines. You will work with various departments to identify and evaluate the training needs and capabilities of operations and station employees. You will develop an annual training plan and oversee its implementation, including language proficiency requirements.
You manage workplace accident records and medical examinations for HR Rail and Global Recruitment employees in Belgium. They retain recognition by national safety authorities as a recognized training organization for safety tasks in railway operations. You will oversee the design and implementation of safety skills learning programs for operations and station managers and staff.
Your responsibilities include overseeing the creation and implementation of innovative, flexible and customizable training programs. They define quality standards and raise awareness levels of training content in order to contribute to company and station performance. You lead a team of ⚠ employees based in Brussels, Paris and London.
This position is based in Brussels with occasional travel to the Global Recruitment market. Reports to the Director of Performance and Compliance.
You have extensive experience in similar roles and are able to develop and implement comprehensive learning and development strategies aligned with overall business objectives. They come from very standardized and highly regulated environments, such as the pharmaceutical, chemical, manufacturing or automotive industries. You are an experienced HR manager who has led and managed teams, ensuring their effectiveness and commitment to company goals.
As a leader, you will drive change and foster a culture of continuous learning by building strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization and working with teams to understand their needs and align learning initiatives with business goals. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to convey complex ideas, convince stakeholders, and ensure learning objectives are clearly communicated.
You have a strong understanding of instructional design principles to create effective and engaging learning materials. This includes e-learning, workshops, on-the-job training and other learning methods. You are interested in technological advancements that leverage learning management systems (LMS), e-learning platforms, and other technology tools to enhance the learning experience.
