Global Senior Technical Project Lead Process Development

Global Recruitment is seeking a Global Process Development Specialist to join our Process Development team at the Global Innovation and Technology Center (GITEC) in Belgium.

Purpose:

Lead the process to develop projects and programs to meet or exceed current and future business needs according to agreed timelines and budgets. Continuously source and discover new ideas/opportunities for Global Recruitment in the area of ​​new process development aligned with the company's strategic pillars, working closely with Product Development, Procurement, Brewery and Quality and Engineering. Work closely with senior experts and operations managers across all ABI regions to consolidate knowledge and support global innovation and supply teams. Drive synergies between different ABI regions around the world, integrate knowledge and support global innovation and delivery teams. We understand consumer insights and competitor strategies and integrate them into our process development program framework to ensure the right decisions are made to benefit Global Recruitment. Possess specialized knowledge related to brewing and brewing materials (hops, grains, barley, malt...) and be responsible for implementing improvement projects within time and budget (focus on sustainability).

Role:

Management of technological innovation projects from project definition to industrial implementation. An important member of the global carbon neutral PMO. Leading a global development project to reduce the brewery’s carbon footprint. Supporting global and local experts in delivering our global initiatives to reduce CO⚠ emissions on our path to a net zero carbon brewery of the future. Support long-term research and development projects that reduce CO⚠ emissions. Support global debottlenecking activities. Partner with other experts to increase production capacity while avoiding capital expenditures through innovation. Identify and secure opportunities to protect intellectual property.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for project management and project leadership.
  • Responsible for delivering detailed plans and validating them with internal customers, integrating all necessary steps to ensure agreed timelines and objectives are fully achieved. Monthly status reports for management use.
  • Responsible for communicating relevant project information and project progress to team members, project stakeholders and other key personnel within the organization. Provide monthly reports.
  • Positively influence project team members and stakeholders within the organization to successfully achieve project goals.
  • Responsible for the implementation of global projects and cooperation with various regions around the world. Define development/implementation plans with internal customers by defining global/regional level KPIs, multifunctional teams, project structure, project steps and responsibilities.
  • Responsible for ensuring appropriate implementation and post-market evaluation of new fluids in projects under his leadership.
  • Continue to develop brewing technical expertise while disseminating acquired knowledge within the organization, providing technical support and identifying technology solutions with the potential to address internal and external business needs.
  • Ability to communicate, prioritize, develop and implement new ideas with the goal of innovation, product and quality improvement.
  • Identify best practices (internal and external), share and propose ideas, test, implement and standardize them to maximize business value.
  • Support, develop and coach employees, both individually and as members of cross-functional teams.
  • Leverage established networks within the organization and within supplier and related industry communities to resolve highly sensitive issues.
  • Proactively identify gaps and design solutions in areas of liquid variable cost reduction.

What we're looking for:

  • Technical university degree or equivalent (brewing science, food science, chemistry, biochemistry, engineering or related field). Additional technical brewing training and commercial qualifications are an advantage.
  • Minimum ⚠+ years of experience in a beer or food production operation; demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to influence and drive things forward while balancing different ideas/agendas.
  • Strong team spirit, goal-oriented, respecting quality and time. Understand intellectual property issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate, support, drive and manage change and be open to innovation by generating new solutions and developing creative approaches.
  • Good communicator and presenter, very good persuasion skills, with the ability to translate technical issues into business concepts and vice versa.
  • Strong ability to communicate and negotiate with stakeholders in different areas and at different levels (internal/external). Cultural diversity can be bridged.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement. fluent English. Other languages ​​have advantages.
  • Strong ability to lead and manage projects (multifunctional/technical/geographical/business impact/number of stakeholders/capital expenditure).
  • Ability to think multi-dimensionally, analytically and critically. Understand the MS Office environment. Expertise in data analysis and visualization in Excel. Knowledge of statistical software tools is an advantage. General business and financial understanding.
