Financial Analyst, EU Grocery Operations finance

Global Recruitment Fresh Online Business Financial Analyst drives cost control and improves financial reporting. This is the perfect position for someone who enjoys problem solving and business analysis. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and provide business insights to drive decision-making. You develop and automate reports for an international fresh food business and its managers. Our Finance Directors work in multiple locations, helping others understand financial decisions and are the most trusted business advisors. They leverage all aspects of data and communications to ensure our partners and leaders have the latest, reliable information to help them make the best decisions.

Build business partnerships with key stakeholders in the EU Global Recruitment Fresh online business by developing and delivering in-depth financial analysis and clear and concise insights. Create and automate scalable business reports. Set up and manage financial controls and weekly/monthly closing processes. Support planning processes for existing business and future market launches. Drive continuous improvement and standardization of financial reporting processes using SQL, advanced MS Excel and other analytical tools. Provide financial support to operational projects to drive improvements.

A day in the life

The role involves ⚠% time on business analysis and reporting, ⚠% time on critical project management (ad hoc business requests, reporting automation), and ⚠% time on MEC activities (monthly close).

Basic Qualifications

BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or similar discipline

Relevant experience required for a position requiring analysis and reporting of financial results.

Financial Acumen and Analytical Skills

Experience providing forecasting, variance analysis and data interpretation of business impacts and results.

Strong technical background including Excel, Cognos, SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience solving problems and providing solutions to complex challenges.

Experience working in a large team or fast-paced corporate environment.

Experience making strategic business decisions and managing internal relationships.

Prior knowledge for rapid field reporting.
