EU Contractor Safety PM, Europe Contract Risk Management, High Risk Operations


The primary responsibility of the EU Contractor Security Program Manager is to support the implementation of the EU Contract Risk Management (CRM) programme. Develop and implement processes and tools to assist Global Recruitment site, regional and project managers in verifying contractor compliance with contract/project safety regulations and expectations. In this role, you will directly support the department in the implementation and execution of CRM initiatives by supporting EU RME, WHS, RME WHS, Operations Engineering, Operations Construction, L&D, Security and other teams and project managers at network and site level. This position requires up to ⚠% travel. Become the CRM contact for a specific Global Recruitment business unit. Support working relationships and partnerships with EU teams including RME (Reliability Maintenance Engineering), Loss Prevention, Legal, WHS, RME WHS, OpsTechIT, Construction, Operations Engineering, Procurement and Operations. You will be responsible for updating, maintaining and supporting the network's implementation of the Contractor Security Management Plan as outlined in the Global/EU WHS Contract Management process. Support the investigation of incidents involving contractors and the completion of operations within EU networks. Work with site, regional and procurement or contractor PMs to ensure contractor surveys are completed as expected. You are responsible for the CRM maturity and roadmap for the EU responsible business area. Develop and conduct training for key site stakeholders related to contractor safety management processes. Identify incident trends and critical high-risk locations, projects, or teams. Work directly with EU stakeholders to implement preventive measures, improve contractor security management, issue cyber alerts to contractors, etc. Become a subject matter expert (SME) related to contractor security management processes to provide answers to network and external issues. Support key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure contractor performance. Support audits and procedural clarification related to contractor management. Stay up to date on changing regulations and internal WHS performance so policies can be adjusted as needed.

About the Team

The WHS Contract Risk Management (CRM) Team was established to establish policies, tools and mechanisms to manage risks associated with Third Party Provider (⚠P) activities. The foundation of the program is based on four pillars: (⚠) Procurement, Prequalification and Procurement, (⚠) Field Contractor Management, (⚠) Compliance Assurance and (⚠) Customer Retention. The system establishes a risk mitigation approach for each pillar related to the contracted service lifecycle.

Basic qualifications:

  • Experience using data and metrics to identify and drive improvements.
  • Experience leading project strategy, end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior management.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Safety experience: Program, site management.
  • NEBOSH Diploma, SiFa or similar safety related qualification required by local regulations.
  • Good knowledge of English (C⚠ according to European framework).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in contractor management (external or third party).
  • Good knowledge of another European language: German, French, English, Spanish.
