Environmental Health and Safety Program Manager

As a Program Manager at Google, you'll take on complex, multi-sector projects from the start to the finish - you'll collaborate with stakeholders to plan the requirements, manage the schedule, identify risks, and communicate with other departments clearly. Your initiatives will frequently cross the offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to arrange the players and keep them aware of the progress and deadlines.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all Environmental, Health, and Safety programs
- Implement EHS management systems and environmental compliance programs
- Oversee Subject Matter Experts on safety topics globally
- Identify and address EHS issues by collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Lead and manage new EHS initiatives
- Create and maintain a strong Safety Culture
- Ensure compliance with national and regional regulations
- Evaluate operational risks, discuss potential scenarios, and design risk mitigation programs
- Conduct assessments of existing EHS programs and training effectiveness
- Investigate and propose preventative measures for reported work-related incidents
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or equivalent practical experience
- ⚠ year of experience managing programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Certification from relevant organizations like Board of Certified Safety Professionals
- ⚠ years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety
- Fluency in French
