Are you interested in improving the quality of life for cancer patients? We strive to provide the most effective treatments available today! CAR-T (Chimeric Antigen Receptors T-cell Therapy) is a new method for cancer treatment that relies on the patient's own immune system to eliminate the cells. They consist of the patient's own T-cells and are designed to eliminate cancer cells expressing a specific antigen. To facilitate the implementation of the CAR-T program in the E-MEA region, Janssen is establishing two CAR-T production facilities in the Gent region (Belgium) and the new facility will be operated from the existing Janssen Beerse location.

As the Director of Engineering and Maintenance for the automotive CAR-T program, you will be responsible for the supply chain assets in collaboration with our partner Legend Biotech. The role focuses on providing support in Operations, Quality, Facility Management, EHS, MS&T, and Planning. This position is connected with the CAR-T Initiative.

Specifically, the responsibilities include maintenance and calibration, Site Asset Management Plan, budget management, Project Portfolio Management, EHS&S policy implementation, talent development, and acting as the main contact for design and maintenance.

Requirements

• Engineer or Master's degree in life sciences with ⚠+ years of experience
• Team-oriented individual with influencing skills
• Knowledge of facility management, maintenance, and capital expenditures in a GMP context
• Experience in aseptic environments and dedication to safety
• Understanding of process control and strategy development
• Effective communication skills
• Fluency in English and Dutch
