EMEA Freight Analyst – ⚠ month contract role: Zaventem, Belgium

We are seeking a skilled Freight Analyst to join our EMEA Logistics team in Zaventem, Belgium on a ⚠ month contract. In this position, you will report to the EMEA Transport Manager directly and will have responsibility for collecting and analyzing the EMEA figures pertaining to transportation and Customs, you will then highlight the areas that are of concern and have the potential to reduce costs and improve processes.

You will evaluate and improve the efficiency and cost of Global Recruitment's EMEA Logistics function, which will provide quality and timely logistics solutions. You'll collaborate closely with the EMEA Transport Manager and other participants in the organization during the verification of invoices and the processing of supplier accounts. As an EMEA Freight Analyst, you will have a strategic role in creating reports that describe the Freight and Customs process, assess the effectiveness of your company's Key Performance Indicators, and forecast costs. You will also have a continuous improvement mindset.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create predictions and provide evaluations. (KPI)úne and analyze the data regarding transportation and Customs in EMEA that is relevant to the areas of concern and cost reduction.
  • Ensure the reliability, consistency, and accuracy of information.
  • Create statistical and analytical models, and use ad hoc software to assess the potential savings and efficiency of logistics processes, such as, the budget or transportation schedule and costs.
  • Ensure that Freight costs are monitored, managed, and under control. (VS Budget)
  • Help managers and other stakeholders by collaborating to find practical solutions.
  • Establish a consistent reporting frequency and data pertaining to specific areas of the logistics process, such as the analysis of suppliers, and the cost of transportation. ( daily, weekly, and monthly)
  • Track the evolution of logistics information and recommend alterations.
  • Help improve processes, standardize processes, and simplify procedures as often as possible in accordance with the pre-established policies.
  • Participate in initiatives related to the automation of the Supply Chain's flow of processes and data management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Data analysis skills that are proven.
  • The capacity to develop and analyze data.
  • Understanding of data analysis resources.
  • Excel - An expert user who can analyze and manipulate data and produce significant information. (Pivot tables/ VLOOKUP incorporated)
  • Understanding of Power BI
  • Having experience with the reporting, interpretation, and analysis of Logistics Performance Indicators.
  • Experience in logistics and freight planning, as well as knowledge of ORACLE (or another ERP) data management, will be highly beneficial.
  • Excellent communication, time management, and organizational abilities, as well as the ability to work autonomously, will be paramount.
