Director Sales Institutional - Asset Management


As part of strategic growth plans and expanded scope, the bank’s wealth management arm is expanding its institutional relationship asset management team operating in Belgium with growth potential in Europe. The bank aims to significantly increase its assets under management (AUM) after formulating a strategic growth plan.

In addition to providing portfolio management and fund solutions to private and private banking clients, the bank also aims to attract institutional investors by optimizing existing and developing new financial products and services. As an Institutional Relations Manager, you are responsible for building and maintaining relationships with institutional investors, including non-profit organizations, social funds, corporations and insurance companies or other financial institutions.

You will work closely with the Investment Management department to promote financial products and services and be responsible for driving revenue growth and increasing assets under management (AUM) for institutional clients. Your responsibilities include:

  • Actively acquire new institutional clients and build and maintain relationships with institutional investors to increase AUM and drive revenue growth
  • Leverage CRM systems to manage and track sales pipelines, leads and customer interactions
  • Serve Institutional Investors The primary point of contact for institutional clients, addressing their inquiries and concerns and providing solutions to their investment needs
  • Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities to expand the institutional client base.
  • Prepare presentations and reports to communicate investment results, market trends and business development activities to institutional clients.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate:

  • Master's degree in finance, economics, or other related field.
  • Degree experience in an institutional or sales role as an asset management sales representative
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with institutional investors
  • Extensive knowledge of financial markets, investment products and industry regulations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with clients Present complex content to clients explaining things financial concepts
  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Fluent in Dutch or French and English
