Country Manager

Job Title: Country Manager – Aviation Services – Brussels, Belgium

Job Summary: As the Belgium Country Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of operations at our regional headquarters, which oversees three airport locations in Belgium, France and Luxembourg. Your role will help ensure a safe, efficient and reliable supply of aviation fuel to support the smooth running of airport operations. You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop strategic plans and drive operational excellence to achieve business goals. You report to and work closely with the General Manager.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and motivate a team of professionals from different departments and locations, with a special focus on the Brussels Regional Office.
• Provide guidance, coaching and support to team members to promote a culture of excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, set performance goals and provide constructive feedback to increase individual and team productivity.

Financial Management:

• Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor financial performance, analyze financial data and recommend improvements.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements of the company managed by NV and NV.

Operations Management:

• With the support of our specialized departments, monitor all fuel operations at multiple airport locations and ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards and company policies.
• Coordinate with airport authorities, airlines, fuel suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.

Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including airport authorities, unions, fuel suppliers, airlines, regulators and other industry partners.
• In close coordination with the Hamburg HO, negotiate service agreements, pricing and contract terms with internal and external parties.
• You will serve as the primary point of contact for fuel issues, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution of issues.

Strategic Planning:

• Develop and execute strategic plans for fuel operations consistent with organizational goals and industry trends.
• Identify business growth, expansion and diversification opportunities in the aviation services industry.
• Conduct market research, monitor competitor activities and propose strategies to maintain competitive advantage in the market.

Health, Safety and Environmental Compliance:

• Promote and implement a strong safety culture to ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and policies.
• Implement effective environmental management practices to minimize the environmental impact of fuel operations.
• Stay up to date on industry developments and best practices related to aviation services, safety and environmental sustainability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Applicants with a master's degree are preferred.
• Extensive experience in fuel logistics or other areas of the aviation industry, with a strong understanding of airport operations and supply chain management.
• Proven leadership skills to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify operational inefficiencies and implement improvements.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Good knowledge of English, French and Dutch (spoken and written). Knowing German is an advantage.
