Construction Manager, Design and Construction

The successful candidate will participate in the operations team and will take part in the planning, design and construction of new M&S Match Fulfillment Centers. This will involve the expansion of existing facilities and the addition of new sites.
The Construction Manager will have a significant role in the creation and implementation of the EU network infrastructure. This role will evaluate and discuss different scenarios regarding facilities and design outfits. Additionally, this candidate must promote the standardized technical and institutional processes and systems.
This opportunity combines the planning of construction, the management of projects, and the management of contracts for our facilities prior to construction. It's necessary for someone who is interested in planning, designing, building and managing projects.
Do you enjoy traveling? The position will have a European origin and will involve traveling frequently to different locations or parts of the country you live in.
Oversee the planning, design, and construction of M&S Match Fulfillment Centers as well as other new projects, expansions, and renovations. Help with managing projects that build infrastructure and extra capacity within the existing European Fulfillment Center network. Oversee the design of new and existing projects regarding construction engineering. Create reports, specifications, and technical analyses that fully describe the design requirements, equipment, and services necessary. Facilities that surveys people, develops procedures to audit the facility, provides evaluations and analysis, and suggests solutions to the team in charge of the infrastructure, safety and security.
Help with the negotiations with vendors and the documentation required for approval. Ensure that contracts are appropriate for the purpose, cost-effective and contain appropriate Service-level agreements. Help the site management team by providing support in the planning, designating proposals that are relevant to the business, and coordinating subcontractors.
Facilitate and collaborate with others in the evaluation of new opportunities. Ensure that external resources are devoted to providing work that meets the duration and quality requirements, addressing and preventing issues of under performance. Contractors who are auditors must assess the skill set and capacity of labor in order to determine if it is appropriate for the job and if the labor is capable of undertaking it. Establish and maintain the information systems necessary for efficient scheduling and recording of contractual obligations.
Help the stakeholders bystanders during the negotiation of the cost of a project with developers, general contractors and design consultants. We are open to receiving candidates to work from one of the following locations: Luxembourg, LUX
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a comparable field and a demonstrated interest in Architecting, Engineering, Construction Management or Development Management.
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Demonstrable experience in project management that extends from the design phase to the implementation and operation phase.
Preferred Qualifications:
- M. Sc. in Civil Engineering, Architecture or another related field.
- Project Management knowledge of the design phase to the implementation and operation phase.
- Experience with two or more disciplines in the: General Contracting, Property Management, Engineering, and Design.
- Experience with the management of complex designs that include automation, robots, or similar.
- Experience in the processing of logistically issues, planning, permitting and building.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities associated with professional affiliation to relevant bodies in the Engineering and Construction Industry (such as the Chartered Engineers, the MRICS, and RIBA).
- Health and Safety knowledge during the design or construction process.
- Understanding the Building Information Modeling (BIM) knowledge.
- The capacity to travel throughout Europe every ⚠ percent of the time.
- A second language that is primarily spoken in Arabic, German, French and Poles is desired.
