Global Recruitment factory requirements and category management with appropriate suppliers. Manage day-to-day business relationships. Serve as primary buyer, leading expense and supplier oversight.
Our partner is a renowned Belgian aerospace company specializing in precision engineering and manufacturing solutions for the global aviation industry. The company plays an important role in the production of critical aerospace parts and components. The company is headquartered in the Brussels region.
Prepare inquiry documents and bidder lists or provide assistance. A shortlist is created based on the quotes received and four pillar analysis (total cost, quality, technology, logistics). Negotiate commercial offers and contract terms. Initiate the best and final offer (BAFO) phase. Serves as a supplier-focused business partner to the facility. Manage suppliers using assigned KPIs. Develop suppliers into strategic partners. Effectively manage procurement contract data. Balance the total cost of ownership with the country that has the best cost. Enforce contracts with advanced legal insights. Assist in the preparation of annual budget and procurement business plan. Identify cost reduction opportunities to optimize overall costs. Monitor performance against monthly procurement metrics. Track supplier sales trends at the enterprise level. Keep the organization informed of any price/contract changes.
Educational background: Master's degree preferred. Minimum of ⚠ years experience as a manufacturing buyer (preferably in aerospace). Languages: Good knowledge of English; Dutch and/or French preferred, German preferred. Proficient in Lean principles and project management tools. Familiarity with ERP systems and planning processes. Strong analytical and proactive skills in supplier/commodity management. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong team spirit. Flexible thinker.
