Business Development Specialist

KANEKA biodegradable polymer SMTH Services is the first ⚠% bio-based polymer produced through a revolutionary bio-fermentation process using renewable vegetable oils as feedstock. KANEKA Biodegradable Polymers SMTH Services’s products offer significant sustainability advantages in reducing microplastics and ocean pollution through their biodegradable properties.

As a Business Development Specialist, you will report to the Business Development Manager and will be responsible for:

• Researching and analyzing strategic market segments to better understand market specifics, trends and identify potential business opportunities for SMTH Services.
• Identify market needs, develop action plans and track their implementation.
• Build an extensive network within the industry through frequent contacts, visits and follow-ups.
• Develop pricing strategies and negotiate accounts decisively.
• Create new business opportunities.
• Spend significant time at relevant trade shows, conferences and exhibitions.
• Build technical expertise about SMTH Services and the various applications it offers.
• To all internal stakeholders (sales, technical services, research and development) to achieve established strategic business goals.

You have a degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, business development, or a related field. Approximately ⚠ years of commercial experience in a technical B⚠B environment in the plastics industry. Preferably in the (food) packaging industry or the paper coating/lamination industry.

You like clear results, take the initiative to take improvement measures, and are able to plan and organize work independently. Proficiency in English, other languages, especially Southern European languages, is an advantage Willingness to travel ⚠-⚠%.
