What can you expect? As a Business Developer, you will be part of Marsh's Custom Enterprise division dedicated to providing risk consulting and insurance solutions to large companies based in Belgium. You will join a strong team of account managers and business developers with extensive experience as risk advisors in many of Belgium's most prestigious companies. Our client relationships are coordinated by an account executive who leverages our industry and risk expertise and combines resources to analyze, measure and manage the risks faced by these companies.

As a Business Developer, your role will be to develop and manage new client portfolios with the above companies to manage their risk. You implement consistent sales strategies to drive business results. You will oversee sales, account onboarding and account management and ensure lead and customer satisfaction throughout the process. You will serve as the central point of contact for clients and prospects, while coordinating our various internal teams.

We count on you to: build new relationships in target industries and provide risk management solutions through risk advisory and insurance services. Leverage our expertise and international network to conduct in-depth research and target prospects to generate new business. Prepare and execute proposals, contracts and/or other sales-related processes. Cultivate new customer relationships. Work closely with our Chief Commercial Officer and Corporate Division Heads to implement our sales strategy.

What you need: At least a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business, finance, insurance or risk. Prior experience in business development in risk or insurance management or account management is preferred. A desire to build and maintain your professional network to build and maintain business through the use of networking, cold calling and social media. Excellent oral and written communication skills. To enhance sales and customer relations experience, extensive expertise in Dutch, French and English is required. Willingness to communicate, collaborate and work within multinational networks and global companies. Thinking outside the box, positive attitude, interpersonal skills, flexibility and teamwork.
