The Economic Analyst role is part of Global Recruitment Europe's Finance, Planning and Analysis division. This position is responsible for managing the overall monthly financial process for the European region, including responsibility for consolidating, reviewing and reporting P&L. This position is based in Belgium (at Global Recruitment headquarters in Leuven) and is led by our highly capable, diverse and dynamic Finance team. This position will play a role in the overall financial management agenda for the Europe Region and report to the Europe Region FP&A Business Cycle Director.

Role:

  • Manage monthly cycles for our regions such as: B. Tracking and monitoring, forecasting, detailed analysis of results and variance drivers, storyline creation and presentation to senior management when working with different countries, departments and our Shared Services Center Management of layer reports.
  • Understand and analyze the components and processes of the income statement and propose action plans to improve performance.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis or assistance on any other financial related projects deemed appropriate by management.
  • Drive improvements in overall processes and resource allocation and easily connect with business and senior stakeholders across global and European regions, business units, finance and functions.

What we're looking for:

  • Master's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or similar.
  • ⚠-⚠ years of relevant experience in a finance function.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills (highly structured and systematic approach to delivering business solutions).
  • Stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills.
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Candidates with Anaplan experience preferred.
  • A team player with the ability to build relationships across functional areas.
