What is it? Our Brewing Innovation Intern started out along with all the other Supply Management interns and Global Management interns; however, he has a special passion for brewing. So if you're interested in a career in areas such as brewing, process engineering, product/process innovation and technology development, this is the perfect place to start.

During your ⚠-month winemaking internship, you will explore the world of winemaking and gain hands-on experience in all winemaking-related processes across a wide range of new products and technologies being developed by Z/GITEC (Regional/Global Innovation and Technology Centre). In addition, you will be responsible for the management of special tasks and side projects in all aspects of quality, safety, efficiency, communication, etc. in the pilot brewery. Upon successful completion of the program, most trainees typically take on their first role on a project in our brewery.

What do these projects involve? During the first two months, you and the other supply management trainees will get an overview of how some of our Belgian breweries operate and be able to carry out short-term assignments in these breweries. The entry phase is followed by ⚠ months of practical brewing training and professional experience with the technical staff and management team at the Leuven Research Pilot Brewery. Not only will you watch, you'll get hands-on experience and learn how to brew, including creating brewing recipes, grinding ingredients, getting started cleaning tanks, conducting quality tests, and more. You will have the opportunity to gain insights from others on brewing processes such as filtration, blending, dealcoholization, packaging and more. You will be able to put the theoretical knowledge you have gained into practice in our pilot brewery, which provides huge learning potential when This will benefit you greatly as you continue your career within Global Recruitment’s utilities organization. Additionally, you can develop your leadership, project and general management skills. You'll gain a deeper understanding of our company's technical and practical challenges and have the opportunity to improve or solve them.

Ability to present research results in an understandable and structured manner. Ability to lead teams and projects at a regional/global level. To be eligible, you must have a Master's degree (or equivalent) by August ⚠: Bioengineering - preferably brewing and/or brewing courses Food/Life Sciences - preferably brewing and/or brewing courses Engineering Technology - Best to choose a brewery and/or brewing course You should be proficient in English (written and spoken). Knowing how to speak and understand Dutch and/or French is an added advantage as you will visit some of our Belgian breweries during the first two months of the general SMT course. Additionally, your professional experience should not exceed ⚠ years (excluding internships/voluntary/student work). Please note that you need a valid visa/work permit to enter Belgium. You may also be required to travel within the country to which you are applying and within Europe during and after the ⚠-month programme.
